How Luv to Travel came to be.

Sandra and Vicky met at 18, both starting their careers at Alba Tours — one of Canada’s leading wholesale travel operators. What began as a working friendship became a 39-year partnership built on one conviction: travel should be personal, not transactional.

After 13 years together at Alba, their paths diverged — one stayed in wholesale, deepening supplier relationships across the Caribbean and Europe; the other moved into retail, working directly with clients on their most important trips. Two different vantage points on the same industry.

Those parallel careers eventually converged again at one of Canada’s leading OTA travel retailers, where they worked alongside a team that deepened their understanding of what modern travellers actually need — and what they’re routinely not getting from booking engines.

In 2023, they made the decision they’d been building toward for three decades: to open Luv to Travel — an independent advisory where every client gets the kind of attention that only a small, expert team can give. No booking engines. No call centres. Just two advisors who have seen nearly every travel scenario imaginable, and know exactly how to handle them.
