TICO Consumer Protection Disclosure

1.Our TICO Registration

Luv to Travel is registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) under registration number #50026967. This registration is required to operate as a travel agent in Ontario under the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002.

Registration confirms that Luv to Travel meets the requirements of Ontario's Travel Industry Act, 2002, including maintaining errors and omissions insurance and contributing to the Travel Industry Compensation Fund.

2.About TICO

TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario) is the regulatory body that administers the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002, and Ontario Regulation 26/05. TICO is responsible for the registration, education, auditing, and enforcement activities for all Ontario travel agents and wholesalers.

3.Travel Industry Act, 2002

4.Consumer Protection

As a TICO-registered agency, Luv to Travel is required to:

• Provide accurate information about the travel services we sell
• Disclose all material terms and conditions before you book
• Hold your funds in trust until they are remitted to suppliers
• Issue receipts for all payments received
• Adhere to TICO's Code of Ethics

5.Trust Account Protection

Funds you pay to Luv to Travel for travel services are held in a trust account in accordance with the Travel Industry Act, 2002, until they are remitted to the relevant supplier. This trust account requirement provides a layer of protection for your deposits and payments.

6.Compensation Fund

Ontario consumers who purchase travel services from a TICO-registered agency may be eligible for compensation from the Travel Industry Compensation Fund in certain circumstances — for example, if a registrant fails to remit money to a supplier, or if there is a material misrepresentation.

7.Supplier Financial Default

If a travel supplier (airline, hotel, cruise line, or tour operator) experiences financial insolvency after you have booked, your recourse may be limited depending on how services were purchased. Luv to Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist you in such circumstances. Some protection may be available through the Travel Industry Compensation Fund or your travel insurance provider.

8.Cancellation & Refund Rights

Your rights to cancel and receive a refund depend on the specific terms and conditions of the suppliers involved in your booking. These terms will be disclosed to you before you make a deposit. TICO does not set cancellation or refund policies on behalf of suppliers, but as a registered agency we are required to explain those policies to you clearly at the time of booking.

If you have a complaint about our services, please follow these steps:
