About Aruba

Aruba sits outside the Caribbean hurricane belt, which means it enjoys predictable sunshine and low rainfall year-round. With less than 20mm of rain per month on average, it's the driest island in the region — a reliable choice any time you can travel.

Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are the two main strips — Eagle Beach is quieter and residential-feeling, Palm Beach is livelier with more dining and activity options. We'll match you to the right area based on what you're looking for.

The island's steady northeast trade winds keep the heat comfortable and make it a favourite with wind- and kite-surfers. For couples, it's an easy, high-quality destination with no weather risk.

Luv to Travel Insider Tips

Aruba has no all-inclusive monopoly — the island has excellent boutique resorts and adults-only properties alongside the large all-inclusive hotels. We'll show you both options.

Rent a car for at least one day. The north and east coast are wild and nearly empty — completely different from the resort strip.

The best restaurants are not in the hotels. Zeerovers Fish Hut in Savaneta serves the best fried fish on the island for almost nothing.
